Blog 2 Continued

The Problem of Evil
Adding to my 2nd blog just a bit. From hearing some discussion in class on Thursday, I got some great insight on or around my topic. That was “Everything has two sides.” When I heard this, some things in my head just clicked, because I didn’t realize it at first. There are always going to a good and evil in the universe, like a heaven or hell. Everything is symmetrical and formed in a neat manner. Animals can be aggressive, but will tend to the young in need. So like evil being an instinct, it could be innate to be good. Much thanks to Kristen from the Hume group!

Ryan,

A la the spirit of Philosophical Reasoning, when you say "There are always going to [be] a good and evil in the universe, like a heaven or hell. Everything is symmetrical and formed in a neat manner," tell me why you believe this to be the case. Put your thoughts in argument form, then consider:

What are your reasons for saying so? Do your premises support your conclusion? Is your argument valid? Sound?

:) Karla

P.S. Thanks for responding to so many of your classmates' blogs.

Hey Ryan, in your first post of Blog 2 you were saying that your argument wasn't sound. How about making a few premises and a conclusion. That way, I can see how you're really laying out the Problem of Evil. I do see that you say that "everything is symmetrical and formed in a neat manner." How does this apply to natural disasters?

P.S. I think if you reword what is quotations, it will definitely become a great premise.
