God and the Origin of the Universe
Ever since I was young, I always was curious about God. By going to church almost every Sunday I became more aware of what I was dealing with. Everything was going fine, but one day I paid close attention to a discussion on God. This all seem too vague to me, so I started looking into science for answers. Mainly the reason was, the stories in the bible seemed farfetched, and some things about my religion just made me ponder of what I actually was doing. They say that God created our universe, but what if he didn’t? It could have also happened naturally. This is a big question; I believe will be unanswered for many years to come.

The Problem of Evil
When people hear the word evil, they usually associate it with wrong or bad. But think of this. If people did evolve from animals, technically people could still have animal instincts. The thing is that animals are not usually considered evil because instincts are a basic factor for creatures to survive. I am not trying to say that evil is an instinct, but I believed there are certain stages to being evil. Such that being aggressive is a natural tendency. It also depends on the society that people are being brought up in, because they have different morals. Religion usually tries to promote “good,” therefore attempting to minimize evil.

I could see that evil is an instinct, an unintentional act could be obstructing the way for someone unintentionally. One could consider this evil.
Ryan,
First of all, I love the way your blog looks! How did you get it like that? Second of all, you have some really interesting things to say about both topics. So are you saying that evil is one point along a continuum, which initially starts at our instincts? Do you think it is our instinct to be good, as well?
Nice work all around, Ryan! :) Karla
